Sports day 2024

Sports Day will be taking place in the morning of Tuesday 18th June on the junior school field. Please can you ensure that your child has a PE kit (white t-shirt and shorts/leggings) in school and appropriate sports footwear. They must also have a sun hat and be wearing all-day sun cream. The events will begin at 9:30am and we will aim to finish at 11:30am (after the parents race!)

We will be doing the following alternative spellings of these sounds:

‘Pig the Pug’ By Aaron Blabey

We will be contiuning to focus on this text. This week we will be writing our own versions of Pig the Pug using the inofrmation we reserached last week about different pets. We will be using a story mountain to help us structure the story.

This week our main focus in maths is going to be on money. We are focusing on recognising coins and notes and understaing their value.

Support at home: It would be really beneficial if you can have a selection of coins at home for your children to come familiar with the value of each coin and what it looks like. This is especially important as we wee actual coins and notes less and less these days.
