  • Please make sure your child has a coat in school every day. We will go outside even when it is cold and raining.
  • Please do not allow your child to play with the resources that are on the Reception patio in the morning. These have been carefully positioned and are there to support your child’s learning during the school day.

Purple Mash are holding a Festive Christmas Card Competition and we would love it if pupils from Henleaze Infant School could take part in this at home; we look forward to seeing your entries! Please click this link for full details on how to enter.

Please note: School staff don’t get notified of entries and as they are on public display boards names are not added alongside them. Therefore, please could you additionally email a copy of their design to your child’s class teacher so that we can celebrate these in class.

We have had a brilliant 4 days in school and have been impressed with how well the children have retained their phonics learning over the holiday. The children have enjoyed learning about the ELLI Tortoise and we have been noticing more perseverance in their play too.

This week, we continue learning about the ELLI Tortoise. The ELLI Tortoise doesn’t give up and keeps going when he finds things tricky. We talk to the children about ‘perseverance’, so please use this term with your child at home. Our key text to support learning is The Hare and the Tortoise.
