Noticeboard
- Please look out for an email about our school trip to Noah’s Ark.
- For the next 2 weeks, Jack and the Beanstalk is our key text. There are lots of different versions of the story, so if you have the story of Jack and the Beanstalk (or an alternative like Jim and the Beanstalk), please give it to your child to bring into school and we will read them during our story times. Please name the book and alert the adults that your child has brought a copy into school.
- Please alert your child’s class teacher when your child has filled up one side of their bookmark.
- Please find the lunch menu by clicking here.
- Please use the school calendar to find up-coming dates.
- Please make sure your child has a coat in school every day. We will go outside even when it is cold and raining.
- Please do not allow your child to play with the resources that are on the Reception patio in the morning. These have been carefully positioned and are there to support your child’s learning during the school day.
Celebrations
It has been another short week at school! The children have loved watching their beans grow shoots and roots! They have been looking after them by watering them. Alongside this, they have been learning about subtraction and have been using physical resources to ‘take away’.

Tapestry observation request
In school over the past few weeks we have been doing observational drawings of plants and flowers. We would like your child to do an observational drawing at home. You could go outside and draw a picture of a tree, bush, flowers or a bunch of flowers inside…or any other plants you can see! Please remind your child that they need to draw exactly what they see and use the word ‘observation’ with them as they have heard it multiple times in school. Please send us a picture of their drawing so we can show it in class.
You can also send us any moments that you feel are significant in your child’s learning or want to share with your child’s class teachers. Click the links below to find out how to add observations from different devices.
