Reading
We will be reading the Proudest Blue this week. It is a lovely story with an important message about being proud of who you are.

Writing
This week we will be focusing on how to write instructions and the importance of sequencing these correctly. We will be writing our instructions based on how to make a jam sandwich.

Maths will start looking at simple fractions. We make links to fractions through:
Doubling numbers

Halving and quartering of 2D shapes

Science: We will be revisiting our learning about animal classifications; mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Each class will choose the animal groups to focus on depending on the ones that they class found the trickiest to remember.

Computing: In our class assembly we will be revisiting online safety. There is advice for online safety for parents guidance here:

Religion and World Views: Christian view of God relating to people, and their responsibility for the world.

Music: We are recording animal compositions!

History: We will be learning lots about Brunel through our trip to the SS Great Britain but also looking at what life was like in Victorian times. We will explore how transport improved but also how Victorian children were treated and the jobs they had to do.

Art: we are going to be using our sketching skills to draw the SS Great Britain.

PE: To develop technique and control when performing shape jumps.

PSHE: we will be thinking about family and friends and the needs of others
