Spelling
Session 1: Practise CEWs and commonly misspelt words from class
Session 2: Practise challenging words from our own spellings
Session 3: Practise challenging words from our own spellings

Writing
Using the story of ‘The Tin Forest’, by Helen Ward, explore the setting and after reading the first 2 pages together, predict what they think will happen. Use adjectives and expanded noun phrases to describe the setting.

Reading
Whole Class Core Text – ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’, by Roald Dahl – Focus on core text for sequencing and retrieval. Focus on the narrative extract for prediction.

Maths

Time

• To tell the time past the hour to 5 minute intervals on an analogue clock.
• To tell the time to 5 minute intervals on an analogue clock, past and to the hour.
• To use the knowledge that there are 60 minutes in an hour to work out how many minutes are in different lengths of time, within and beyond one hour.
• To use the knowledge that there are 24 hours in a day to solve problems involving time.
