Diary dates

Please use the school calendar to find up-coming dates. There are some key dates below:
Monday 16th June – Inset day. School closed to all children
Friday 20th June – Sports day (morning only – 9:30-11:30). Parents are welcome to come support.
Monday 30th June – Open afternoon (after school). An opportunity for you and your child to visit their new classroom and look at their books/work this year.
Tuesday 22nd July – Last day of the school year.

English

Phonics: Phase 5c phonics

Reading
We will be continuing to look at the text There’s a Rang-tan in My Bedroom this term. 

Writing
This is our 2nd week of looking at how to write letters. We will be writing our own letter to help protect our environment and take action.

Maths   

Next week we will be looking at position and direction. Thinking about the language ‘left’, ‘right’, ‘forwards’ and ‘backwards’.

Wider Curriculum

Science: We will be revisiting our learning about plants. Thinking about the deciduous and evergreen trees.
Religion and World Views: We will be talking about why we care for our world
History: We will be learning about who David Attenborough is.
PE: Sports Day!
PSHE: Children will be introduced to the basics of money.
Art: Children will be printing using their printing blocks..
Computing: We will be revisiting online safety, explaining rules for travelling safely on the internet.
