
Noticeboard
An email was sent last week about Year 3 classes and teaching staff. We also communicated that the children will need a packed lunch on both Monday and Thursday of this week.
**Maple Class – Maple Class will now be having their morning of transition on Friday 27th June. You should have already received an updated communication. They will still be having packed lunch at the Juniors on Thursday and participating in the Sport’s afternoon.
Monday 23rd June – CST Singing Event, Trinity School. This will run within normal school day timings. Children will need water bottles and packed lunches.
Thursday 26th June – Sycamore and Willow Class Transition ‘Shuffle-Up’ to Year 3. Drop off at Infant school as normal.
Maple, Sycamore and Willow Class – They will need their water bottles and packed lunch. Please also ensure they are wearing their PE kits to school to wear all day, as they will be taking part in a PE activity with Year 6 children in the afternoon, also at the Juniors. They will need a sun hat.
*Friday 27th June – Maple Class Transition ‘Shuffle-Up’ to Year 3. Drop off at Infant school as normal. The children will be coming back to the infant school for their normal lunchtime provision.

English
Writing – Writing their child’s view section of their Annual Report. Children will be encouraged to review their year, including their learning, achievements they are proud of and the areas that they feel they need to work on next.
Reading – Continuing our work on ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’
Focus: on the fact sheet for summarising and on the core text for retrieval.
To know: A bullet point is an organisational device which uses a symbol to indicate separate items.

Wider Curriculum
Drama – A visiting Drama company will be delivering a session with each class in the school with a Jungle theme on Wednesday.
– Giving out scripts and starting to learn parts for our end of year performance.
Music – Performing with around 500 other Year 2 children from our Trust.
– Starting to learn the songs for our end of year performance.
PSHE – Economic Well Being – Bank cards and accounts
SHINE PE – L3 To play against a partner.
PE – Sport’s event with Year 6 children at the Junior School.
