Wednesday 16th July

Tuesday 22nd July – Last day of the school year.

Phonics: Phase 5c phonics

Reading
We will be continuing to look at the text There’s a Rang-tan in My Bedroom this term.

Writing
We will be using the adjectives that we thought of last week to write our own setting descriptions.

This week we will be learning to tell the time to o’clock, half past and quarter past.
Support at home: Children increasingly see digital clocks as opposed to analogue clocks. It would support your child with their understanding if you have an analogue clock in your home or if they has a watch that shows the analogue time. Also talking to your child about what time it is when they do certain things that are part of their routine, e.g. bedtime is 7 o’clock, swimming is at half past 4 or dinner time is half past 5.

Science: We will be revisiting our learning about animals.

Religion and World Views: We will be creating posters to tell people how to care for our world.

PE: To develop collecting a ball (fielding).

PSHE: Children will be learning about what a bank is

Computing: We will be continuing to write algorithms to give directions. We will be introducing diagonal movements and inputting more than one instruction at once.
