English
Phonics: revision of Phase 5b graphemes with a focus on spelling

Writing
For 2 more lessons will be focusing on the fundamental skills of sentence structure, in particular full stops and capital letters.
We will be learning how to use capital letters for proper nouns.
We will then begin our new writing topic of character descriptions with a focus on expanded noun phrases.
Reading
We will be starting our new text of Aesop’s fables with a focus on the story of the Goose that Laid Golden Eggs.

Maths
To compare numbers and objects using the symbols < > and =
To estimate where numbers belong on a number line.
To revisit counting in 2s, 5s and 10s
Wider Curriculum
Science: ‘Living things and their habitats’. To identity the things that plants need and the things that animals need and which are the same or different about these.
DT: To design a fairground wheel.
Geography: What are physical features in our local area?
Music: To create images and symbols to represent the pitch of music.
PE: We will continue our fundamental movement skills unit.
PSHE: To understand how to resolve unhappy friendships.
