Phonics: revision of Phase 5b graphemes with a focus on spelling

Writing
We will continuing our retelling of a narrative and, using our story maps that we created last week, we will be writing our own version of ‘The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg’.

Reading
We will be finishing our story ‘Mrs Noah’s pockets’.
We will answer comprehension questions by retrieving information from the text.
We will infer meaning about the characters feelings from their actions. 

Maths

We will be working on Addition and Subtraction. Our focus this week will be on:
-Adding by making 10
-Adding three single digit numbers.
-Adding by across 10 by adding to the next 10.

Wider Curriculum

Science: ‘Living things and their habitats’: We will be looking at food chains this week and what a producer, primary consumer and secondary consumer are.

DT: We will be carrying out a survey to inform our decision before adding pods for the people to our ferris wheels.
Computing: Making music in Purple Mash
Geography: We will be revisint
PE: We will continue our fundamental movement skills unit.
R+WV: We will be learning about how harvest is celebrated.
