Class 8 dragon hunt

As you will have read in our Year 2 blog, this week we have been looking for a dragon on the loose! We have written wanted posters and instructions about how we could humanely catch it. This topic has really inspired the children and they have been working like unicorns and using their imagination. There have been many sightings around Henleaze of the red dragon with jade, misty eyes… don’t worry, it is a friendly dragon! We know this because was spotted helping a dog who had hurt its paw.

On Friday afternoon we went on a short dragon hunt around the playground to look for evidence. The children found:

  • Parts of the gazebo that had been broken
  • The log climber had been on fire
  • Scratches on trees from the dragons claws
  • Fallen cones
  • Dragon footprints
  • Burnt sticks
  • A dragon scale
  • Dragon wee (definitely not rain!)
  • A cone with bite marks
  • Mysterious eyes
  • Fallen down tree

Keep your eyes peeled over the weekend… some of the posters say the reward to return the dragon to Class 8 is over £5 million.
