Harvest Festival, Wednesday 12th October – Donations- This week we will have a visit from our local Salvation Army Representatives during our Wednesday assembly. We will be collecting tins and packets of food. All long life. No perishables please.

Be Prepared! 14 Day Non-Perishable Food Plan - Favorite ...

We ask for all donations to be into school in time for our assembly on Wednesday 12th October.

THIS WEEK: Westonbirt Arboretum on Tuesday, October 11th.
Please ensure your child has the following:

  • Sensible footwear (wellies are acceptable)
  • Raincoat
  • School jumpers/tops to be worn (with logo)
  • Warm clothes (if needed – hat, scarves, gloves, extra pair of socks)
  • Packed lunch (unless you have indicated for your child to have one provided by school) in a rucksack or lunchbox (REMEMBER – no nuts due to allergies)
  • Water bottle and a snack for during the  morning

We will be leaving at 9:15am so please arrive to school promptly.

  • Next week we will  be walking down to St Peters’ church for a visit as part of our R+WV curriculum on Wednesday, 19th October. This is also the same day as class photos but will be having these taken before we go.  We will contact you about the timings involved for your class and will request offers of helpers. Each class has a different time slot in the morning. We are just waiting for the church to confirm timings.
  • Children will change for their PE sessions so please continue to ensure that children’s PE kits are in school on their pegs. They need a white T-shirt, black shorts and a change of shoes, pumps or trainers. All the classes had their first ‘changing times’ last week. Thank you for  supporting and preparing your children for this. It is an important part of their learning and promotion of independence to change unsupported.
  • You will find below a grid showing the sessions to be taught each week. They do not exactly follow days as each class has different sessions due to support and PE times being different but it allows you to see the week as a snapshot of sessions.

We will always aim to get outside, whatever the weather, as much as possible so children will really need a waterproof coat each day.
