Wednesday, 19th October – Individual Photograph Day
Harvest Festival Donations- Next week we will have a visit from our local Salvation Army Representatives during our Wednesday assembly. Before then, we are asking for Harvest donations for them to distribute to those in need to be donated. Please just bring them to the classroom at drop off or pick up time.
We will be collecting tins and packets of food. All long life. No perishables please.
We ask for all donations to be into school intime for our assembly on Wednesday 12th October.
Maple class used their initiative during ELLI time by taking advantage of the windy weather and constructing (and testing!) GIANT paper aeroplanes. Amazing!

We will also look at the 4 men who wanted to become King. The children will choose one of these 4 men and create a persuasive letter to convince the teacher why they should become King.
In Art this week the children will be creating self portraits. Using oil pastels to express themselves.

In R+WV this week the children will think about what their names mean and why their adults gave them their specific names. The children will then move on to thinking about common Muslim names and their meanings. The children will learn about Isalmic birth ceremonies; what happens, when and what each event symbolises. They will then create some Islamic geometric art.

Our focus in PSHE this week is to consolidate our learning from PSHE this term. To demonstrate their understanding of choices and consequences the children will draw a picture of someone who is choosing to follow our Learning Charter.
