Monday is Bank Holiday and Tuesday school will be closed for the majority of pupils due to Industrial Strike Action.

Thank you to all the offers for help with the trip to the SS Great Britain. Your class teacher will have let you know if you are needed. Where we have had more offers than needed, we may have asked some of you to be in reserve. Please make sure you have completed payment for the trip as this also works  as your consent. More information about the trip will be sent out nearer the time.

This week the whole school will have a focus on the Coronation of King Charles III and linking that with the Coronation 70 years ago of the late Queen Elizabeth II and how that time span also correlates to the life span of our school.

The children will be working together to create a wall hanging for our hall to depict these last 7 decades in our history.

Each year group has a different focus. Year 1 will be looking at TV programmes for each of the 7 decades and also at the opening of Henleaze Infant school to present day. We shall also be thinking about the Coronation and finding out more about our new king and how we will be celebrating this as a nation.

Below is a summary of the 3 days that we will have in school during this week. This will also be connected to suggested work that was included on the blog for home learning if you chose to during the 2 most recent school closures due to Strike Action Days.

Daily Well Being Activities

Wednesday – Be Active –  Lion on the loose exercise
Thursday – Keep Learning – Challenge: in a team, try to pass a small ball from one to another using a plastic spoon.
Friday – Give –  Teach your partner how to do something … do up a zip, tie a bow, draw a dragon, build a spaceship
