Writing
Text: The Three Little Pigs

Sess 1 : Read the story of the Three Little Pigs. Children to act out the story thinking about what the characters may be thinking and feeling. Think of adjectives to describe the characters at different points in the story.
Sess 2: Create a story map with the main events from the Three Little Pigs story. Add adjectives to describe parts of the story onto the story map. Use it to orally retell the story.
Sess 3 & 4: Use the story map created yesterday to write the story of the Three Little Pigs. Try to use as much detail as possible and ensure that the story has a clear beginning, middle and ending.

This week our main focuses in maths are:
-Partitioning numbers to 100 into tens and ones, representing this using base 10 and the line and dot method.
-Identifying odd and even numbers within 100
-Looking at number lines to 100 and completing missing numbers.

Wider Curriculum

PE- SHINE Team Games Session –  Building on skills learnt in Class PE sessions.

Jasmine PE– This term’s focus is RealGym. This week, the children will be learning and practising a range of different shapes that they can make and hold with their bodies.We will be using the large apparatus to perform and practise our shapes. 

Science – This week we will be thinking about which materials are most appropriate for different things. We will be exploring how Lego has changed and the pros and cons of it being made out of wood and plastic.

 R+WV- Why is the Bible special to Christians?

GeographyWe will be using our new knowledge about the countries within the UK to help us label a UK map using a key. 

Art – We are going to create a continuous line drawing and use different mark making techniques to fill in the spaces.
