Year 2 News – Term 1 Week 6

Another busy week in Year 2! The Ministry of Defence has become aware of our dragon and wants to send it to Antarctica! The children have been honing their powers of persuasion the write letters imploring the MOD to leave the dragon alone. Surely a self-sufficient, conker loving little dragon can’t do much harm. Come and see our new display in the entrance hall to see copies of their fantastic letters.

We have enjoyed a challenging week in maths working on subtraction. The children are really working on applying their knowledge of number facts to solve problems.

We have had lots of fun learning about the properties of everyday materials and have designed some brilliant boats. Next week we’ll build our prototypes with paper, ready to make our final models.
