Writing
This week our writing is based around the book Chocolate Cake by Michael Rosen.
We will be thinking of lots of adjectives to describe chocolate, e.g.scrumptious, tasty, yummy, gooey.
We will then be writing acrostic poems to describe some of our favourite foods.

This week we will be revisiting place value within 100.
-Parrtitioning numbers into tens and ones, e.g. 43 has 4 tens and 3 ones, 43=40+3
-We will also be finding 1 more and 1 less and 10 more and 10 less than numbers within 100
-We will be looking a 100 sqaure and how the numbers fit together (to help us find 1 more/less and 10 more/less)

Supporting at home – finding 1 more/less and 10 more/less within 100 is a really useful skill. We do lots of counting forwards and backwards within 100 in school which is something that would also be good to be doing at home.
Also this game is good to help practise findig and recalling 1 more/less and 10 more/less. Click the picture for a link.
