This week we have been reading the true story of ‘Hidden Figures’. Class 8 put themselves in the shoes of Mary Jackson and wrote persuasive speeches to present in court to say why they, as a black woman, should be able to go to college to study engineering. Mrs Fricker came to listen to some of their amazing speeches and awarded the children with a head teachers award!
