Celebrations

This week the children have been learning about the ELLI animal the chameleon and how he can adapt and change his plan if it isn’t working well. The children loved exploring brusho and washing it over waxed crayons to create patterns which resemble a chameleons skin. We have also been enjoying getting to know new friends and learning to play together.

This week’s learning

This week, we will continue to learn about the Chameleon. The ELLI Chameleon changes his plans if they aren’t going the right way. We will be using the story ‘The Mixed Up Chameleon’ as our key text.

Children will continue their discovery of chameleon facts, focusing on their amazing ability to camouflage.

Religion and Worldviews

Over the following weeks, look out for the All About Me Box which will come home at some point for your child to put in their special objects/ photos they would like to share.

Continuing our Big Question:”Who am I?” We will talk about special objects and read the Christian story of the Precious Pearl.

Expressive Arts and Design

Our focus this week will be on colour mixing. The children will be able to do this in an exploratory way where they will be provided with primary colours and pallets and encouraged to see what new colours they are able to make through mixing.
