This morning Sycamore Class were lucky enough to have a special visitor! Felix’s Uncle (Euan) came in to tell us all about his job. He works in a recording studio and also plays with the band Massive Attack! He showed us some brilliant pictures (see below) and told us all about what he gets up to during the week and at the weekends. The children were inspired and loved listening to one of his band’s tracks! Recently in Year 2 we made some music using Purple Mash on the iPads which linked perfectly to Euan’s every day tasks in the recording studio, mixing tracks and making music.

Some of the questions the children had for Euan were:

• What is your favourite instrument?
• Were you really good at playing the piano straight away?
• What is your favourite Massive Attack song?
• How do you know what each button on the mixing desk does?
• What’s the longest song you’ve ever performed?
