Miss Quinn gave birth to a beautiful boy, Tommy Jax McCarthy, just before Christmas on the 22nd. She has promised us a visit towards the end of term (with some special time in Maple Class. We all offer her and her partner our congratulations. A very special Christmas present!

This Week:
Friday, 12th January, 9am – Parent Information Meeting – Writing – How we and you can support your child with learning to write. This academic year, we as a school are completing a project about improving our writing skills with a concentration on formation and handwriting and spelling. The meeting will start with EYFS and all the way to Year 2 so lots of important information for all parents. There is more information on the back of your child’s calendar that they will be bringing home.

Hot Seat Character from ‘Look Up’. Ask questions of each other as if they were characters from the story shared last week.
Learn bout the features of writing a diary entry and create a plan for one of your own as the main character from the story.
Write a diary entry as the main character, Rocket.
Handwriting including a dictated sentence.
