This is a chance to have an informal chat with our SENDCO, Sue Spaargaren, about anything SEND related. SEND stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.  You do not need to have a child with any specific needs, you may just have questions or concerns or want to find out a bit more about what we do to support children across the school and other services we work with. These drop-in sessions will be held in the Sunflower room.
Friday (15th March) is Red Nose Day – Children can wear red clothes and noses and bring in a donation for this great cause. Throughout the week in the run up to Red Nose Day

Children will then also be producing an ‘Egg Spotter’s Guide’ to help identify the different types of eggs..
Reading: Focus: Reading Comprehension –  Making inferences on the basis of what is being said and done.

This is the second week of us learning about ‘mass and weight’ and ‘volume and capacity’. We will be doing these at slightly different times over the 2 weeks to allow us to share resources.

Mass and Weight
We will be using the vocabulary heavier, lighter, heaviest and lightest to compare the mass of different objects.
We will also be using balance scales and cubes to measure and compare the mass of objects

Volume and Capacity
We will be using the vocabulary full, empty, half full, nearly full and nearly empty to compare the volume of liquid in containers.

We will then be using cups to measure and compare the capacity of different containers.
