  • Curriculum Showcase Evening this Thursday 4pm-5:15pm. A chance to see how all the areas of the curriculum are valued and taught and for ideas for you to support and enhance at home.
  • On Friday of this week it is Children in Need Day. You can dress up with stripes and/or spots or just wear some of your favourite clothes. We ask that you bring in at least £1 as a donation for this very important cause.
  • You will find below a grid showing the sessions to be taught each week. They do not exactly follow days as each class has different sessions due to support and PE times being different but it allows you to see the week as a snapshot of sessions.
  • Check out the newsletter that has details about a Christmas Card Competition your child can take part in at home using ‘Purple Mash’. This is something which can be entered from home but we ask that if your child does enter that you email a copy to your class email so that Miss Ross can give out some certificates for participation. Here is a link to a short video with some examples. There is a prize for the overall winner (50 printed copies of their card, a £20 Amazon voucher and a 2Simple Goody Bag!!

We will always aim to get outside, whatever the weather, as much as possible so children will really need a waterproof coat each day.

Red Sounds and Keyword Books: Every Monday morning as part of our morning work we will write between 5 and 10 keywords in our new red books. The children should keep these books in their folders with their reading books. You can look at these words together throughout the week. It is important that the children can read the words first then they can practice writing them. They can do this in their red books. The words will include some words that use the sounds we are learning from the week and CEW which are being introduced or revised.
